Conor McGregor isn't backing down from the UFC.
The biggest promotion in mixed martial arts may have called the Irishman's bluff by bouncing him out of his rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 200, but McGregor has never been known for playing things low key.
The reigning featherweight champion has used various social media platforms over the past two weeks to launch various missiles toward the UFC, and from the looks of McGregor's most recent Instagram post, he has no intention of stopping any time soon.
With the UFC replacing McGregor's fight against Diaz with another highly anticipated rematch between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones on the July 9 card in Las Vegas, Zuffa sent a clear message as to where they stood on the "Notorious" one's pushback against media obligation.
And while it's clear McGregor's move backfired in the short term, his persistence in the feud could very well shake up the structure of fighter/promoter relations down the road.
Fight fans around the world want to see McGregor fight and he's very keen to this fact. Nevertheless, the UFC has always held their stance there is no one fighter bigger than their brand. While this has held true for more than 20 years, there's never been a star with the sway McGregor holds. Even after suffering his first loss inside the Octagon, the Conor McGregor shows seems to be more popular than ever before.

Nobody gives a fuck about these other fights until this one is settled. Cut the bullshit. Run it back. #RealFight
