UFC Fighters Call For Snoop Dogg To Be Fired
UFC Fighters Call For Snoop Dogg To Be Fired
Snoop Dogg comes under fire after a disrespectful reaction video to Mayweather vs. McGregor.
Snoop Dogg might be wearing out his welcome in the MMA community.
The popular rapper and public figure was recently hired by the UFC to commentate alongside UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber for Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, bringing Snoop Dogg directly into the world of MMA.
While the idea started off well, Faber and Snoop cracking jokes and having some fun in the booth, the D-O-Double-G is quickly slipping in the eyes of many fans and fighters.
The notion began when Snoop called Daniel Cormier a "bitch" for crying after his UFC 214 loss to Jon Jones last month.
Popular UFC vets Al Iaquinta and Matt Brown promptly responded.

Our own Elias Cepeda shared his thoughts on the matter as well, but now Snoop has raised (or lowered) the bar. Following the historic Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight over the weekend, Snoop took to Instagram to rub salt in the wound (NSFW language).

Fighters and fans were none too happy with that one, either. This time, their efforts were a bit more serious and organized, with UFC welterweight Alan Jouban taking to Instagram himself to call for action.

The caption reads:
"A lot of people not speaking up on this topic but I can't be one of those anymore. @danawhite @ufc how can we employ this guy and co-promote the two brands together when all he does is trash our fighters. I grew up loving Snoops music and his cool persona too but he knows nothing about MMA and makes a mockery of the sport. A lot of people give him a pass because its Snoop. But it's more negativity than good that I hear from him daily. He's just getting paid and don't care about @ufc. How he spoke about @dc_mma and others shouldn't allow him a job opening with our company. I'm out!"
Featherweight Dan Hooker and Brown followed suit.

So what do you think? Is Snoop out of line? Should this be the end of the Snoop Dogg experiment?
